Ed Lutherie 3 Months incentive guitar building courses are conducted in our work shop in Kepong Two days a week(Saturday and Sunday)
The total cost for all instruction, use of tools, plus materials to construct a top class instrument is RM6,800.00 (Maximum 3 students per course).

Students construct their guitar from wood blanks (no kit parts) and you may photograph and document the process to the finished instrument. The class starts at 9.00 am and finishes at 5.00 pm, and if necessary we work other days in the evening to keep schedule. The course at Ed Lutherie is a " full on " immersion in guitar making and students will also see and learn repair work which comes to the shop during the course.

Back and Sides - Indian Rosewood,
Neck - Dark Red Meranti,
Bindings - Solid Timbers
Bridge & Fingerboard - Rosewood or Ebony
Machine Heads - Gotoh 301a
Truss Rod - Gotoh Hard Case included

Students are taught basic inlay techniques and encouraged to design a 12th fret or Headstock inlay to create a unique look
for their guitar. Past students have successfully constructed top class guitars and most of them had no prior woodworking experience.
After this course, you should be capable to start your own lutherie.
